I think it's obvious by now, but I am taking a break. The whole dating site thing was too much effort in my opinion for no payout. Plus I noticed the guys were being recycled through. Obviously inventory had gotten low.
Real life meet ups? Yah, those rarely happen for me. My sister asked me if she could set me up. Normally I run screaming but this time I asked for the guys name and looked him up on Facebook. He looked good so I was actually a little hopeful. But as the story goes... he wasn't interested in being set up. She didn't get any further than asking him if he was willing to go on a blind date before he shut her down, so I really can't feel slighted. He didn't know who she was talking about, and even so we've never met. But that was the first time in like... ever... anyone I know has said they actually have someone they want to set me up with. Usually people tell me they wouldn't want to set me up with any of the guys they know. I'm "too good for them." I think that's code for either "all my friends are serious fuck ups" or "there is something wrong with you but I don't want to say it."
So in the meantime, here is story to tide you over of someone Else's tragic online dating experiences. Enjoy!

Oh- I just realized. I never told the ending to the "no follow through Joe" saga. I never heard from the guy again. From our last words and the look on his face, I was actually hopeful, but alas... the cycle continues. Both for his history and mine. Joe... here is your peg. Welcome to the wall of shame.
